Certifications
ISO/TS16949:2002
ISO/TS16949:2002 is a technical specification. It was approved and issued in March 2002, as an automotive sector-specific QMS set of requirements that use ISO 9001:2000 (verbatim) as its base. Center Manufacturing’s automotive customers require this certification for further business consideration. We are currently compliant and have been certified.
The requirements of ISO/TS 16949 promote a process approach for the design and development, production, installation, and service of products, which result in increased quality, a reduction in variations, and increased efficiency. Center Manufacturing has developed a complete appreciation for ISO/TS 16949:2002, including the process approach to quality management and an understanding of how it is necessary and valuable to our overall business management system.
ISO-14001
Environmental Management System
Protecting the environment is not only a deeply held value for us, it is also how we do business every day. Reducing waste and creating more efficient processes are part of our way of life. We don’t think cradle to grave, as many companies do; we conceptualize every product in terms of cradle to cradle.
Our certification for ISO 14001 environmental standards demonstrates that our environmental management system is robust and continuously improving. This includes reduction and reuse of scrap material, more efficient use of electricity and other natural resources, and recycling programs within our facilities.
We train and certify our personnel through the department of environmental quality. They serve as monitors for compliance to our ISO 14001 policies and procedures.
